Uttar Pradesh Sets Record with Revolutionary Sugarcane Payments

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a landmark achievement in supporting sugarcane farmers by paying a total of Rs 3,21,963 crore since 2017. This initiative has made the state a leader in sugarcane production and strengthened the rural economy.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's administration has ensured that payments are made directly into farmers' bank accounts, effectively bypassing middlemen. The government's commitment to the agricultural sector was evident from the start, with the waiver of farm loans exceeding Rs 36,000 crore.

The introduction of the 'Smart Ganna Kisan' system and digital innovations such as the E-Ganna App have modernized farming operations, providing farmers with easy access to essential information. As a result, a record amount of ethanol production and sugarcane cultivation has been achieved, confirming Uttar Pradesh's status as a top producer.
