Agneyastra Energetics Launches Major Defence Facility in Andhra Pradesh
Agneyastra Energetics Ltd, a subsidiary of Kalyani Strategic Systems, unveiled its Rs 1,500-crore defence manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. Over the next 2-4 years, the facility aims to strengthen India's defence sector, create employment, and bolster the region's economy with state-of-the-art manufacturing and logistics capabilities.
In a significant boost to India's defence sector, Agneyastra Energetics Ltd has commenced the construction of a strategic Rs 1,500-crore manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Kalyani Strategic Systems, the company announced its plans on Friday.
The sprawling facility, located in the Sri Sathya Sai District, will cover over 1,000 acres and is expected to be completed in 2-4 years. It aims to create 800 direct jobs and approximately 2,500 indirect employment opportunities, enhancing the regional economy.
Equipped with cutting-edge manufacturing and logistics technologies, the facility is set to improve India's capabilities in advanced energetics and ammunition, reinforcing Andhra Pradesh's role as a key player in aerospace and defence manufacturing. 'This project is pivotal for India to establish itself as a trusted global source for advanced defence systems,' stated Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Forge Limited.
