Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has criticized the central government for the recent increase in petrol and diesel prices, demanding an immediate rollback. He described the hikes as unjustifiable and a threat to several sectors of the economy.
Taking to social media, Reddy accused the administration led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using the US-Iran conflict as an excuse for the price increases. He highlighted that, despite prior assurances against such hikes before the elections, the price of fuel was raised significantly just ten days after election results, undermining public trust.
Reddy further condemned the economic policies of the Modi government, arguing that they have led to a weakened economy and unfulfilled promises. He pointed out that small and medium enterprises are suffering, unemployment is rising, and the rupee has been devalued significantly over the past decade.
