The Jammu and Kashmir Police intensified their crackdown on Saturday, with coordinated raids across Baramulla district in connection to a case involving the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), officials reported.
Search operations spanned over 15 locations, including areas like Jamia Qadeem, Naseem Bagh, and Krankshivan in north Kashmir's Sopore. Authorities confiscated incriminating literature linked to the outlawed organization, which is now subject to further investigation.
This action follows an FIR registered at Sopore police station under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and aligns with ongoing efforts to disable networks tied to banned groups and anti-national activities. Investigations continue as evidence undergoes scrutiny under the oversight of executive magistrates and independent witnesses.
