G Kishan Reddy Reviews Modern Mining at Hindustan Zinc

Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy recently paid a visit to Hindustan Zinc Limited's Rajpura Dariba Complex in Rajsamand district, where he was given a tour of the company's cutting-edge mining and smelting facilities.

Reddy explored the Sindesar Khurd Mine and the Dariba Smelting Complex, where company representatives briefed him on technology-driven operations, including safety systems, paste filling, and tele-remote operations. He witnessed a demonstration by the women's mine rescue team and expressed appreciation for the workforce's commitment to safety and innovation.

During his visit, the minister emphasized the evolving nature of India's mining sector, which he described as a 'modern, responsible and technology-driven growth engine.' Reddy highlighted Hindustan Zinc's role in boosting domestic mineral resources critical for economic growth and acknowledged its CSR initiatives that empower women, enhance access to drinking water, and support healthcare and education in Rajasthan.
