Netherlands-based ASML Holding N.V. has unveiled ambitious recruitment plans, aiming to onboard 1,000 new employees in Taiwan this year. Initially, the semiconductor equipment giant intended to hire 600 individuals, but a surge in client demand necessitated a strategic revision, according to Focus Taiwan.

Grace Wang, vice president and general manager of ASML Taiwan, highlighted the targeted focus of this recruitment drive. The company aims to enhance capabilities in customer support, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. This initiative is expected to bolster both local service delivery and ASML's global manufacturing output.

ASML's significant global presence includes more than 4,500 employees in Taiwan, contributing approximately EUR 8.3 billion annually. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) stands as a notable client. ASML's local efforts align with environmental, social, and governance goals, emphasizing sustainability and circular economy practices.
