AIADMK Slams Tamil Nadu Government's Loan Waiver as 'Scientific Scam'

AIADMK General Secretary Edapaddi K Palaniswami launched a fierce attack on the Tamil Nadu government's recent crop loan waiver decision, labeling it a 'scientific scam'. The former Chief Minister accused the state government of using the move to divert public attention from ongoing law and order issues.

Palaniswami derided the administration as a 'puppet government', staging a 'ridiculously despicable political circus'. He criticized the government's failure to maintain public order, while making populist announcements without effective execution.

EPS contrasted his past initiatives with the current scheme, emphasizing his administration's successful waiver of Rs 12,110 crore loans for farmers, asserting that this benefitted 16.43 lakh farmers. He urged the current government to align actions with promises, warning that history does not favor administrations that deceive farmers.
