A devastating road accident on the Ganga Expressway led to the deaths of three individuals, including a seven-year-old girl, with five others seriously injured. The tragic event occurred when an SUV collided with a tractor-trolley near Mirzahanpur village late Tuesday night, police reported.

The SUV, on its journey from Delhi to Jaunpur, crashed into the tractor-trolley as it crossed the road, severely damaging the vehicle and trapping several passengers. Rescue teams, along with local residents, worked swiftly to extract the injured and rush them to the hospital.

The deceased were identified as Saroj Singh, aged 55, Samriddhi, aged 7, and Sangeeta Singh, aged 22, all from Bhilampur village. The injured parties, including Gurucharan Singh, Pratima Singh, Neeraj Singh, Savita Singh, and a three-year-old child, were first treated at a local health center before being transferred to AIIMS Rae Bareli due to worsening conditions.

Authorities are seeking the tractor-trolley driver who left the scene following the incident. Legal processes are underway as confirmed by Additional Superintendent of Police Alok Singh.
