The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, K T Parnaik, emphasized the importance of ensuring quick access to financial services for agriculture, rural entrepreneurs, self-help groups (SHGs), and small businesses. This, he stressed, is essential for achieving sustainable and inclusive growth in the region.

During a meeting with NABARD's Itanagar office general manager, Parnaik advocated for strengthening microfinance institutions and rural banking to reach underserved communities, especially women and young people. Discussions highlighted strategies for boosting rural livelihoods and enhancing economic conditions for local farming communities.

Parnaik urged NABARD to sustain its support for agricultural and small-scale industries, urging them to facilitate credit that can effectively enable rural enterprises to boost the state's economy. Referencing interactions with women SHG members in Siang district, he admired their resilience and advocated for empowering them through skills and finance.

NABARD's commitment to these goals was reiterated by general manager S V Ranga Rao, who assured the governor of ongoing dedication to meeting the aspirations of Arunachal's rural populace.
