Education technology company PhysicsWallah is setting ambitious goals for the current fiscal year, aiming to increase its revenue by more than 30%. The organization plans to utilize artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency and cut costs, according to co-founder Prateek Maheshwari.
The previous fiscal year saw PhysicsWallah's losses significantly decrease from Rs 243.26 crore to Rs 24.17 crore, thanks to a boost in enrollments and higher average revenue per student. The company also reported a strong 51% revenue surge in the last quarter, reaching Rs 918.8 crore.
Maheshwari highlighted the improvement in profit after tax, narrowing from over Rs 200 crore loss the year before to about minus Rs 24 crore. This progress aligns with the company's strategic plans to further adopt AI across its operations, particularly in areas like doubt-solving and evaluations.
As part of its expansion strategy, PhysicsWallah increased its offline and online revenue streams by opening new centers across India and investing Rs 250 crore in capital expenditures. The firm ended the year with a massive 14.2 crore student base.
