A 21-year-old man lost his life while his father sustained injuries after their milk van crashed into a truck on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway. The incident occurred on Sunday near Shahabad.

Prince and his father, Ramsaroop, residents of Kalvehri village, were returning from milk delivery when the accident happened. Ramsaroop survived but needed medical attention.

The collision was caused when the truck in front applied brakes abruptly, causing the van to hit it from behind. The impact trapped the father and son in the vehicle, with rescuers working to free them.

The truck driver fled the scene post-collision. Police are searching for the driver, having seized the vehicle and filed a case based on Ramsaroop's account.

Prince was taken to a local hospital and later referred to a medical college in Karnal, where he unfortunately passed away. Investigations are ongoing, and the truck driver remains at large.
