An unfortunate accident took place in Visakhapatnam when an APSRTC bus collided with a stationary lorry, resulting in the deaths of three people and injuries to eight others. This incident unfolded near Srinagar Junction in Gajuwaka during the early hours of Sunday, as reported by the police.

The bus was on a route from Rajamahendravaram to Parvathipuram when it struck the parked lorry. Among the deceased were the co-driver and two female passengers. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Mary Prasanthi, the accident happened after the driver allegedly failed to notice the stationary vehicle.

All injured individuals, including two children and the bus driver, were transported to King George Hospital and a private facility for treatment. While the driver's condition is critical, others are reported to be stable. Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav has instructed officials to ensure the best medical care.

Meanwhile, law enforcement has registered a case under relevant sections, and both vehicles involved in the accident have been seized. Efforts continue to locate the lorry driver. Support and condolences have been extended to the victims' families, with promises of additional assistance from authorities.
