In response to a growing demand for medical education among Indian students, Russian universities have expanded their capacity by adding nearly 2,000 seats, raising the total to 10,000 for the year 2024. Consul General Valerii Khodzhaev announced this development, noting Russia's continued popularity as a destination for aspiring Indian doctors.
Russian institutions are renowned for their rigorous medical curriculums and compliance with the National Medical Commission of India's standards. Every year, thousands of Indian students choose Russia for its accessible, high-quality education, supported by comprehensive courses, expert faculty, and state-of-the-art facilities.
Apart from medical studies, upcoming educational fairs will highlight Russian offerings in science, technology, and engineering, with participation expected from major universities like Volgograd State Medical University and Moscow State Regional University. The Russian government's scholarship program will further support Indian students with 100% grants available for various academic pursuits.
