Unlocking AI’s Potential: Ethical Governance and Educational Integration at the Forefront

The Deep Tech Summit in Morocco spotlighted the crucial intersection of education and AI, advocating for ethical governance and equitable access. Hosted by the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, the event drew academics and business leaders to discuss AI's transformative potential.

Hicham El Habti, president of UM6P, emphasized the need for responsible AI governance, saying, "AI is rewriting playbooks and reshaping value chains." He highlighted the importance of equitable access and ethical impact distribution worldwide.

Stavaros N Yiannouka of Qatar Foundation's WISE argued for AI integration in education, foreseeing AI agents as future tutors and research assistants. "We're dealing with new intelligence and a potential new consciousness," he stated, urging the need for educational systems to build AI familiarity.
