Unity in Diversity: Vice President Dhankhar Advocates for NEP and Language Inclusivity

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar called for unity among Indians concerning language diversity and strongly supported the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. Addressing an audience at Pondicherry University, Dhankhar described the NEP as a 'game changer' that would drive the nation's educational development forward.

Emphasizing the inclusivity offered by the NEP, Dhankhar dismissed accusations that the policy imposed Hindi, urging states resisting the NEP to reconsider. He pointed out the diversity of languages spoken in the Indian Parliament, illustrating India's rich linguistic heritage and promoting the coexistence of multiple languages.

Dhankhar also encouraged investment in education by industries and corporates, highlighting education as an equalizer. He warned against the commercialization of education and advocated for it to be in line with India's traditional gurukul system, focusing on character development alongside academics.
