S Chand, a prominent textbook publisher in India, is on track to achieve a revenue target of Rs 800 crore this fiscal year, bolstered by growth in its core business and digital initiatives. This ambition was announced by the company's Chief Financial Officer, Saurabh Mittal, on Tuesday.
A strategic partnership with Google allows S Chand to integrate Google Lens technology into its textbooks, transforming them into interactive learning tools. This initiative, already incorporated into more than 300 textbook titles, aims to assist students with explanations, translations, and problem-solving capabilities, impacting over 5 million printed copies.
Additionally, S Chand is aggressively pursuing opportunities for acquisitions to enhance its offerings, particularly in test preparation and international curriculums. With substantial cash reserves, the company plans to announce new acquisitions within the next six months, marking a significant step since its last acquisition in 2019-20.
