Delhi University Kicks Off Innovative Admission Process with New Courses and Quotas

Delhi University has officially commenced its admission process for the 2025–26 academic year, unveiling a new Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal directed at streamlining undergraduate admissions. The initiative marks a transformative approach to DU's multi-tiered admission procedure.
During the launch, Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh highlighted the introduction of new postgraduate programmes, including MA courses in Hindi Journalism and Tourism Management, as well as innovative policy changes like a reserved seat for a single girl child in each postgraduate programme. This year promises a significant shift in accessibility and diversity for prospective students.
With a total of 71,624 undergraduate seats available across 79 programmes in 69 colleges, the admission process will proceed in stages, encompassing personal data submission and course selection guided by CUET results. The university has also expanded its curriculum with new skill-based certificate courses to enhance employability and practical learning.
