Scandal in Jalna: Teacher Caught Sleeping During Class

A viral video captured a zilla parishad school teacher sleeping during class in Maharashtra's Jalna district, prompting a senior official to promise action. The incident occurred at a Marathi medium school in Gadegavan, raising concerns about educational standards.

In the video, the teacher identified as VK Munde is seen with his leg resting on a tablet. When questioned, a student revealed the teacher had been asleep for half an hour, shocking viewers and local parents.

Block education officer Satish Shinde stated that a report on the issue would be submitted to the district education officer, with strict action to follow per departmental guidelines. Meanwhile, parents are demanding increased institutional oversight in rural schools to protect their children's education.
