Arunachal Pradesh has achieved a major milestone in education by reducing the dropout rate at the secondary level to 11.7% while reaching 100% enrolment at the elementary level, according to Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Under his administration's 'PEMA 3.0 Year of Reforms and Growth', the state reported an impressive pupil-teacher ratio of 11:1, significantly better than the national average of 24:1, highlighted Khandu in a social media update.
The transformation in the education sector has enabled Arunachal Pradesh to ascend from an 'Aspirant' to a 'Performer' state in the NITI Aayog's SDG India Index 2024, specifically concerning Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education.
