A 55-year-old farmer named Vishnu Raotale has made a remarkable donation of 4,000 sq ft of land in the Shirur Kasar tehsil of Maharashtra's Beed district. The land, valued at Rs 2 lakh, is intended for the construction of a school, ensuring a stable educational environment for village children.
Since being sanctioned a primary school in 2001, Ravtale Vasti village faced a persistent challenge: the lack of a permanent building. Classes for the 24 children from Grades 1 to 4 took place under makeshift conditions, including open grounds and local verandahs, creating a challenging learning environment.
Raotale, motivated by his own thwarted educational journey and the aspirations for his grandson, took a significant step to change this scenario. Standing alongside educators and a supportive local community, he hopes this land donation will cement a foundation for educational progress in the village.
