The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and Springer Nature have commenced the third 'India Research Tour', focusing on educational institutions across the nation. This initiative offers workshops, training, and access to cutting-edge research tools, aiming to reinforce open science, research integrity, and diversity in academia.
This year's tour is dedicated to promoting open access, ethical research practices, and supporting women researchers. With the program covering 36 institutions in 25 cities, it underscores the empowerment of women in research as pivotal to fostering an inclusive knowledge economy, as highlighted by Union Minister Savitri Thakur.
Springer Nature CEO Frank Vrancken Peeters emphasized the tour's role in bridging global best practices with local talent, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and ICSSR. The tour will connect with leading institutions across various disciplines, notably in Eastern and North-Eastern India, enhancing research capacity and fostering evidence-based policymaking.
