In a recent development, the Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College's students' union has called on the administration to address the use of bamboo porta cabins as makeshift labs and classrooms. This plea follows a fire in one of these temporary structures.

The porta cabins were a quick fix to the increased student intake following the switch to four-year undergraduate programs. Despite recent fires, these cabins continue to be used for biology labs, heightening safety concerns, especially with expected heatwaves.

Faculty members and student representatives have echoed concerns about inadequate infrastructure amidst rising student numbers, urging the administration to implement permanent solutions to ensure safety across the campus.
