From May 13 to 15, Jadavpur University will host a regional mentoring session aimed at fueling innovation across eastern and north-eastern India. Around 200 teachers and students will gather to engage in creative problem-solving activities, organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy alongside the All India Council for Technical Education and the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell.
The event will unite participants from PM SHRI and non-PM SHRI schools, forming a diverse platform to promote a culture of innovation in education. Key focuses include teaching both students and teachers to transform simple concepts into meaningful projects through interactive, hands-on activities.
Promising innovations emerging from the workshop may secure financial backing of up to Rs 1.5 lakh through the School Innovation Contest, while schools can benefit from aid for patent filings via the KAPILA initiative. This multi-faceted approach aims to develop capable innovators who can make significant contributions to their communities.
