Devastating Winds and Rains Wreak Havoc in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
At least four people died and 16 were injured due to strong winds and rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported incidents in Mardan, Swabi, Malakand, and Shangla districts. Authorities are on high alert and relief efforts are underway for affected individuals.
In a tragic turn of events, powerful winds and torrential rains have claimed the lives of four individuals, including a woman and a child, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Sixteen others have sustained injuries, with a woman and seven children among those hurt.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has disclosed that the severe weather incidents took place across several districts, including Mardan, Swabi, Malakand, and Shangla. The PDMA asserts that district administrations remain vigilant, ensuring prompt relief response for the affected.
This adverse weather is expected to persist intermittently until May 12. Citizens are urged to be cautious and report emergencies via the helpline 1700. Emergency operation centers will maintain full operational status throughout the duration of this weather event.
