The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the cancellation of the NEET (UG) 2026 examination conducted on May 3. This follows allegations of irregularities surrounding the exam.
In a bid to maintain transparency and uphold trust in national examinations, the NTA will reschedule the examination at a later date with new admit cards. The agency is cooperating with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a thorough inquiry into the alleged malpractices.
The decision comes after the NTA, in coordination with central agencies, reviewed inputs and findings from law enforcement. Examination protocols included GPS-tracked paper transportation and AI-assisted CCTV monitoring, highlighting NTA's commitment to security.
