Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared on Sunday that Uttar Pradesh has significantly reduced its school dropout rates to 3%, with an objective to eliminate them entirely. Addressing a gathering, he highlighted his administration's efforts by increasing part-time instructors' stipends from Rs 7,000 to Rs 17,000.
Adityanath sharply criticized previous governments for what he termed the state of 'barren' education before his tenure, managing a turnaround since 2017. He argued that prior leadership lacked integrity, affecting the education system's functionality and blaming frontline educators unfairly.
Further, he stressed the importance of community activities in schools, countering social media criticisms. The government has launched health insurance benefits and a new portal to assist instructors, aiming to dignify their valuable contribution to education.
