Preserving Heritage: IHC Celebrates with Rare Artefacts and Open House Event

Singapore's Indian Heritage Centre (IHC) is marking a significant milestone with its 10th anniversary, unveiling a rare gilt-covered bronze figurine representing 'Ardhanarishvara' as part of its new collection. These artefacts, donated by Singaporeans of Indian descent, are featured in a special exhibition.

The exhibition and Open House event celebrate the history and heritage of Indian and South Asian communities in Singapore's Little India precinct. IHC chairman, R Rajaram, emphasized the importance of engaging audiences in innovative ways, including live storytelling performances and interactive experiences.

As the IHC reflects on a decade of community engagement, it continues to serve as a cornerstone for the Indian community, offering insights into various Indian traditions and hosting monthly workshops. The upcoming Deepavali Open House and a child-friendly interactive zone further highlight the IHC's commitment to cultural preservation.
