Metal debris was discovered scattered in a village in Amritsar district on Thursday, leading locals to believe they were parts of a missile. Authorities have yet to identify the objects, pending investigation. Villagers reported finding the metal parts in open fields and residences in Jethuwal village.
Fortunately, no property damage occurred, locals confirmed. Upon discovering the debris, the community promptly contacted the police, who then informed the Army for further examination and response.
In an early morning precautionary measure, the Amritsar district administration conducted a blackout drill, advising residents to stay indoors. This action coincided with nationwide mock drills following the Indian military's 'Operation Sindoor' against Pakistani terror targets after the Pahalgam attack.
