Rush for 'Operation Sindoor': Bollywood Producers Seek to Capture Headlines with Film Titles

In an unprecedented rush, Bollywood filmmakers and actors are keenly submitting applications for film titles inspired by India's 'Operation Sindoor,' the recent military strikes on terror sites in Pakistan. The title frenzy follows India's decisive military action early Wednesday.

The Indian Motion Picture Producers Association, Indian Film and Television Producers Council, and Western India Film Producers' Association reported over 30 title applications in two days. Notable figures such as director Aditya Dhar and actor Suniel Shetty are among the applicants.

The motivation is clear: Operation Sindoor is a source of national pride. There's no favoritism in the title allocation process, ensuring fairness, according to industry veteran Anil Nagrath. However, titles remain reserved for three years before reassignment if not used.
