CBS has officially greenlit 'Y: Marshals,' the highly anticipated sequel to the hit series 'Yellowstone,' as reported by Deadline. Scheduled for a midseason premiere, this new drama series will be part of CBS's Sunday night lineup at 9 P.M.

'Y: Marshals' will see Luke Grimes reprising his role as Kayce Dutton, now a member of an elite U.S. Marshals team. The gripping storyline will follow Kayce as he utilizes his cowboy expertise and Navy SEAL background to vigilantly uphold justice in Montana. Deadline describes a narrative that features Kayce and his team grappling with the demands of family, duty, and the significant psychological toll of their mission to curb regional violence.

The series, produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, marks one of two 'Yellowstone' spinoffs. It will be helmed by executive producers Taylor Sheridan and David C. Glasser from 101 Studios, among others. Luke Grimes, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari will also serve as executive producers, with Hudnut as the showrunner. 'Yellowstone,' co-created by Sheridan and John Linson and featuring a star-studded cast led by Kevin Costner, recently concluded after a successful five-season run.
