Embark on a Historic Journey: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit Tour to Celebrate Maratha Legacy

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has unveiled an exclusive tour package named the 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit Tour.' This initiative, set to commence on June 9, marks the 350th anniversary of the Maratha leader's coronation, offering a memorable journey through historical landmarks connected to Shivaji Maharaj.
According to Gaurav Jha, group general manager of IRCTC's West Zone, the tour will last five nights and six days. The tourist train, equipped with seven sleeper and three AC coaches, will accommodate up to 748 passengers, departing from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation and Government of Maharashtra are also promoting the tour, which covers four key forts: Raigad, Shivneri, Pratapgad, and Panhala. Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra's Chief Minister, had announced the tour, which includes cultural experiences and religious site visits, aiming to attract tourists beyond state borders.
