Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut is making her foray into Hollywood, leading the cast of the horror drama 'Blessed Be the Evil'. The film, reported by Variety, will see Ranaut alongside 'Teen Wolf' actor Tyler Posey and 'Tulsa King' star Scarlet Rose Stallone. Production is scheduled to kick off this summer in New York, strategically chosen to sidestep possible disruptions from the Trump administration's industry tariffs.
Helming the director's chair is Anurag Rudra, who also co-authored the screenplay with Gatha Tiwary, head of Lions Movies. The storyline follows a Christian couple grappling with loss after a miscarriage, who confront sinister forces at a mysteriously haunted farm, according to Variety.
Rudra, holding Indian roots, expressed how his upbringing in rural India influenced his storytelling. 'Stories from my childhood hold a special place in my heart, and I aspired to bring them to a global audience through cinema,' Rudra told Variety.
This venture follows Ranaut's directorial release 'Emergency', where she depicted Indira Gandhi. Tyler Posey is no stranger to horror, having previously starred in 'Truth or Dare'.
Scarlet Rose Stallone, daughter of Hollywood icons Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin, adds to her repertoire with past appearances in 'Reach Me' and 'The Gunslingers', Variety noted. (ANI)
