The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken a firm stand against the OTT platform ULLU App over its allegedly indecent depiction of women in the series 'House Arrest,' warning of possible sanctions, including a complete ban.

During a recent hearing, NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar criticized ULLU CEO Avinash Dugar and Head of Operations Priyanka Chaurasia, asserting that their content promotes harmful social narratives. The series is accused of endorsing incest and objectification of women, sparking concerns about the broader impact of such media.

The NCW has urged the platform to assess the societal impact of its material, demanding measures to curb exploitative content. Notable by his absence was actor Ajaz Khan, leading to a second notice now to be delivered through police means.
