Delhi Gears Up for Kanwar Yatra With Enhanced Support and Security

Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood assured that the government will support the Kanwar Yatra with measures to minimize disruption to the public while ensuring the pilgrims observe their religious duties with dignity.
Sood led a high-level meeting at the Delhi Secretariat, attended by various department heads, to review preparations for the Yatra, which marks its first major event under the current administration. With thousands of devotees expected, the government is committed to providing necessary facilities.
A single-window system at district magistrates' offices will streamline approvals. Sood emphasized prioritizing safety and convenience by setting up adequate services along the route and maintaining law and order with police deployment and infrastructure enhancements.
