In a display of unwavering devotion, thousands of warkaris set off on their annual journey to Pandharpur amid relentless rains. Starting from Alandi and Dehu, they carry the revered palanquins of Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram, chanting 'Jai Hari Vitthal' and 'Dnyanoba Mauli Tukaram' along the route.

The annual pilgrimage, known as the Wari, sees devotees covering 225 kilometers from Alandi to Pandharpur, where the Lord Vitthal temple awaits in Solapur district. The palanquin of Sant Tukaram departed from Dehu, and both will converge in Pune before continuing to their destination.

Local police and district officials have implemented comprehensive plans to accommodate the influx of pilgrims and ensure their safety. The procession will culminate on Ashadhi Ekadashi, July 6, as per the Hindu calendar, drawing participants from across the state to honor this cherished tradition.
