Delhi is on track to introduce hot-air balloon rides at iconic sports venues, as the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) prepares to launch these aerial attractions at the Yamuna and Commonwealth Games Village complexes.
Officials have announced that these sites have been strategically chosen, with tenders issued to invite private operators on a revenue-sharing agreement. The initiative aims to enhance tourism and maximize revenue streams, leveraging the expansive landscapes of these sports facilities.
The proposal outlines that the firms are allowed a maximum of four hours of operation daily, with the possibility of extended hours upon request. Prices will be determined by the operators but must remain accessible, promoting an exhilarating yet affordable experience that showcases the city's beauty from above.
