A suspected conman was apprehended after he allegedly promised three individuals jobs in the defence sector, police reported on Friday.
The accused, posing as an army employee, lured the victims, including two women, with assurances of employment within the defence forces. He even took them to the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering's premises to lend credibility to his claims.
The suspect reportedly attempted to exploit the women and used a fake Air Force ID card to gain access to the restricted area. Security personnel intercepted them, leading to the suspect's arrest on charges of impersonation and further interrogation by the police.
