The Ministry of Jal Shakti celebrated the International Day of Yoga on Saturday, choosing the banks of the Yamuna river as a poignant backdrop to emphasize the need for river rejuvenation.
The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) organized the event at the BSF Kayaking Camp in Zero Pushta Park, uniting ministry officials, local residents, and 'Water Warriors' in a collective effort to promote physical well-being and environmental awareness.
Key figures in attendance included Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary of the Department of Water Resources; Rajeev Mittal, Mission Director of NMCG; and Kamal Kishore Soan, Managing Director of the Jal Jeevan Mission, underscoring the event's significance.
