The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president, BN Tiwari, has voiced strong objections to the upcoming release of singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh's Punjabi film, 'Sardaar Ji 3', which features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. In a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Tiwari emphatically requested that the film should not be certified due to the involvement of Pakistani artists, which he believes contravenes recent government directives prohibiting collaboration with Pakistani talent.

This controversy is set against the backdrop of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, following the Pahalgam terror attack and India's subsequent Operation Sindoor. Tiwari, speaking to ANI, underscored the importance of national interest and warned of potential bans on the film's producer and involved artists if the movie is released outside India. His remarks highlight the broader sentiment of prioritizing national directives over commercial gains.

Diljit Dosanjh, who also faced backlash on social media for his decision to cast a Pakistani actress, announced that 'Sardaar Ji 3' would release overseas on June 27. The trailer's release prompted criticism from Indian netizens, reflecting the growing tensions surrounding the film. Despite the film not being available on YouTube India, it remains promoted on Dosanjh's Instagram page, adding to the controversy.
