The body of Ranjitha, a 37-year-old nurse from Kerala who died in the Ahmedabad flight disaster, was brought back to her home state on Tuesday morning. Her untimely death has cast a shadow over her community and touched the hearts of many who knew her.

Ranjitha, originally from Pathanamthitta district, had been working in the UK when the incident occurred. Her body was identified through a DNA test, concluding the anxious wait for her family and loved ones. The remains arrived at Thiruvananthapuram's international airport at around 7 am, where ministers V Sivankutty and G R Anil paid their respects along with senior political figures, including CPI(M) general secretary M A Baby and Congress veteran Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan.

Following the ceremonial tributes, the coffin was transported to her native village. Here, at a school in Pullad, the public will have the opportunity to bid their farewell. Ranjitha's brother and a close relative were present, accompanying her on this final journey. Her cremation is slated for the evening within her family's estate. Ranjitha, a devoted mother of two, was a respected nurse who served outside Kerala to support her family. Her legacy of dedication and love lingers on in those she leaves behind.
