Cruising Through History: New Boating Experience at Delhi's Purana Qila

This week marks the beginning of boating trials at the iconic Purana Qila in Delhi, as part of an initiative to merge leisure with history. Visitors can now enjoy serene boat rides along the ancient fort's artificial lake, a development finalized after nearly a decade of planning.
The attraction, overseen by Sabhyata Foundation, will officially open to the public on September 1. Twenty boats are set for service, providing a historical perspective from the water. These rides promise an enriching and peaceful journey amidst centuries-old architecture.
Operating from 8 am to 7 pm in summer and until 6 pm in winter, the boating experience will be secured by stationed guards. Future plans include a nearby cafeteria, aiming to provide refreshments and improve the overall visitor experience, thus strengthening the connection to Delhi's cultural roots.
