Amarnath Yatra 2023: Record Numbers Reach Holy Shrine
The annual Amarnath Yatra of 2023 drew over 3.5 lakh pilgrims, as more than 9,000 individuals visited the sacred Lord Shiva cave shrine in the Himalayas on a single day. This year's pilgrimage included diverse participants, marking an impressive turnout since it commenced on July 3.

The Amarnath Yatra of 2023 achieved a significant milestone as it crossed the 3.5 lakh mark, officials confirmed. On Thursday alone, more than 9,000 devotees paid homage at the sacred shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the south Kashmir Himalayas.
According to authorities, 9,482 individuals made the pilgrimage to the 3,800-meter-high cave shrine that day. The gathering included 6,805 males, 2,130 females, along with children, transgenders, sadhus, sadhvis, and security personnel.
Since the pilgrimage began on July 3, a total of 3,52,139 devotees have visited the shrine, indicating a robust turnout for the revered spiritual journey.
