An FIR was registered following a formal complaint lodged by Pauly.
In 2023, a legal agreement was supposedly signed by Nivin Pauly, director Abrid Shine, and Shamnas, allocating all film rights to Pauly's production firm, Pauly Junior. However, Pauly alleges Shamnas unlawfully acquired title rights by presenting a document with a forged signature, misleading the Kerala Film Chamber.
The plot thickens as previous complaints reveal Shamnas accused Pauly of reneging on the film rights deal, leading to an ongoing legal battle with potential public repercussions. The original film, 'Action Hero Biju' (2016), starring Nivin Pauly, was a major success in the Malayalam industry.
