A tragic explosion has devastated a fireworks workshop in Suphan Buri, a province located in the central heart of Thailand known for its rice farming. The incident, reported on Wednesday, claimed the lives of at least nine individuals, leaving two others critically injured.
The blast site, located approximately 95 kilometers northwest of Bangkok, displayed scenes of shattered structures amidst green rice fields, as captured in videos and photographs. The cause of the explosion remains unidentified as local officials continue their investigation.
The occurrence is reminiscent of a similar deadly event in January 2024, which resulted in around 20 fatalities. Meanwhile, an incident in July 2023 at a southern Thailand fireworks warehouse also led to significant casualties.
