The Punjab government is set to organize four religious yatras and a series of major events this November in honor of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur, Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains announced on Wednesday.
On November 19, a four-day pilgrimage is scheduled to journey from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, to Sri Anandpur Sahib, and subsequently to Delhi. Simultaneously, yatras covering almost all districts will traverse the state.
The events in Sri Anandpur Sahib will feature the commencement of Sri Akhand Path Sahib on November 23 at Virasat-e-Khalsa. Notables including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will attend, and a digital exhibition on Guru Teg Bahadur's martyrdom will be unveiled. Other events, such as a Sarv Dharam Sammelan, a heritage walk, and a special session of the Punjab Assembly, will emphasize Sikh history and unity.
