Andhra Pradesh Signs Rs 500 Crore Deals to Boost Tourism

In a significant move to bolster the state's tourism, Andhra Pradesh recently signed deals worth Rs 500 crore at the Gandikota Fort in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Investors Programme was the stage for agreements with Ease My Trip, Hilton Hotels, and other industry players.
The collaborations are set to pave the way for a series of projects that include the construction of hotels and amenities for adventure sports across hotspots like Gandikota, Srisailam, and Tirupati. The initiatives fall under Central Government schemes such as Swadesh Darshan and SASKY, with Gandikota destined to become a world-class tourist destination.
Naidu emphasized the state's strategic push towards eco-tourism and adventure tourism, unveiling plans for 50,000 hotel rooms statewide. The 'Grand Canyon of India' aims to be a global magnet for travelers, with Gandikota's master plan spearheading the transformation.
