Ladakh's Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta conducted pivotal meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to address the significant issues facing the Union Territory, as disclosed by an official spokesman.
Assuming office on July 18, Gupta discussed with the Prime Minister the aspirations of Ladakh's residents, highlighting development, connectivity, and healthcare needs, alongside the region's potential in tourism, including eco-tourism and cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister assured a commitment to comprehensive growth in Ladakh. Conversely, in discussions with the Home Minister, essential topics included telecommunication improvements and enhancing infrastructure to support agriculture, handicrafts, and winter tourism.
