In a tragic incident, the body of a 15-year-old girl from Odisha, reportedly set on fire by three suspects, has been brought back to her home state. Despite efforts to save her, she succumbed to her burn injuries at AIIMS-Delhi over the weekend.
On Sunday night, her body arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport under tight security, before being transported to her village in Puri district. The somber return was marked by the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida and Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, who offered their condolences to the grieving family.
The body was flown from Delhi on a service flight post a formal post-mortem examination. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the horrific incident, which has sent shockwaves across the region.
