Shibu Soren, the distinguished tribal leader and founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), passed away on Monday, as confirmed by his son and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Soren, who was 81, had been under treatment for kidney-related complications at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi for over a month.

Dr. A K Bhalla, the chairman of the Nephrology Department at the hospital, officially declared Shibu Soren's death at 8.56 am. According to Dr. Bhalla, Soren was suffering from kidney ailments and had experienced a stroke about a month and a half prior to his death.

Renowned as the founding patron of JMM, Shibu Soren's political career spanned 38 years, during which he contributed significantly to his community. His passing marks the end of an era for the tribal community and the state political landscape.
