Liverpool's star forward Mohamed Salah has claimed the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year award once again, marking his third win and setting a new record. The Egyptian forward was instrumental in Liverpool's successful campaign last season, tallying 29 goals and 18 assists to help the team seize the Premier League title.
Salah's outstanding performance also earned him the Premier League Player of the Season, the Golden Boot for most goals, and the Playmaker award for most assists, making him the first player to secure all three accolades in a single season. He first received the PFA award in 2018 after debuting with Liverpool in 2017, and later in 2022.
The shortlist featured Liverpool's own Alexis Mac Allister and stars from various clubs, but Salah emerged victorious. Meanwhile, Morgan Rogers and Mariona Caldentey took home the Young Player and Women's Player of the Year honors, respectively. Olivia Smith was also recognized for her achievements and subsequently joined Arsenal, becoming a history-making transfer in women's football.
